Strategic Investments was established in 1983 as an autonomous subsidiary of a large diversified financial institution and subsequently acquired by the principals in 1989.  The firm is owned and managed by the individuals who were responsible for the investment operations since formation.

Since inception, Strategic Investments has made more than 75 acquisitions while investing more than a quarter billion dollars of equity and equity-equivalents.

As a group, the Principals represent over 100 years of experience in the mergers and acquisitions arena in addition to significant operating experience in diverse corporate positions prior to formation.  Given the continuity of the organization and its personnel since 1983, we represent one of the most experienced private equity firms in the nation today.

We invest our own capital and that of long time and closely affiliated investment partners in acquisition opportunities where the objectives of Strategic Investments and the portfolio company's management are mutual: to build and enhance the equity value of the enterprise.  Each company operates as a stand-alone entity under the direction and day-to-day control of its management.  Strategic Investments' involvement is typically only at the most senior level in a supportive capacity, working with the owners/managers to ensure the growth, development and financial success of the company.

In cases where intermediaries are not compensated by sellers, Strategic Investments will pay competitive fees on completed transactions according to agreements negotiated prior to closing.
